President Buhari orders Nigerian youths to end protest
President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria Muhammadu Buhari has urged the youth to discontinue their protests in the country.
A recent demonstration held on Tuesday, October 20, 2020, turned bloody close to the Lekki tollbooth in Lagos after the military reportedly opened fire on the protestors.
Addressing the nation on Thursday, Buhari who expressed disquiet over the happenings in the country called on the youth to end the protest.
“Discontinue the street protests and constructively engage government in finding solutions.”
“Your voice has been heard loud and clear, and we are responding,” he said.
