Rafael Leao set record as the Fastest Goal scorer in Italian Serie A History
This past weekend witnessed a new Serie A record as AC Milan forward Rafael Leao scored the fastest goal in the competition’s history.
Leao set the record on Sunday during AC Milan’s 2-1 victory over Sassuolo. He needed just 6 seconds to register the first goal of the match.
The 6 seconds beat the previous record of 8 seconds set by Paolo Poggi in 2001.
His club later tweeted that Leao’s goal came after precisely 6.2 seconds.

He has scored the fastest goal of Serie A in just 6.9 seconds on 20 December 2020 playing for A.C. Milan against U.S. Sassuolo Calcio.
