Security officers at Abeka Lapaz enforcing the law to ensure Ghanaians obey the lockdown order have restrained a 17-year-old girl for flouting the order.

President Nana Addo-Dankwa Akufo Addo in a national address to brief Ghanaians on the measures taken to curb the spread of the deadly virus, imposed a partial lockdown in the Greater Accra and the Ashanti Region to prevent further spread of the deadly virus.

As the police are enforcing the law, this 17-year-old girl together with a friend decided to step out to go and see her lover at Madina.

When asked by UTV’s Akosua Sarpong Kumakuma, she explained that she was from Odorkor going to see her boyfriend at Madina and live there until the lockdown is over because the conditions at home are not favourable for her.

She also added that her mother is aware of her decision to go and see her boyfriend.

When asked if she knows her boyfriend’s status of COVID-19, she stated that she doesn’t but she still wants to go and see him.
