Chelsea forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang could end up signing for Los Angeles Football Club, according to Spanish news outlet Relevo.
Matteo Moretto reports that Chelsea and the MLS side are in talks for the transfer of the former Barcelona player.
In recent days Aubameyang has suffered a major setback at Stamford Bridge, having been left out of the Champions League squad for the current season.
The London side face Borussia Dortmund in the last 16, with the first leg taking place on 15 February.
With Chelsea signing eight new players in the January window, the former Gabon international has fallen down the pecking order in Graham Potter’s side.
Aubameyang had been at the centre of numerous transfer rumours during the month of January, as, for example, Barcelona would have been happy to resign him after the departure of Memphis Depay, but negotiations never got underway due to a regulatory issue that made it illegal: the forward, having played for both Barcelona and Chelsea, could not be registered a second time in the same team, according to an RFEF (Spanish Football Federation) regulation.
