1. Your gums swell easily

The teeth and gums require adequate amounts of vitamin C for optimal health.  It strengthens the epithelium tissue, which can be found all over the body.  On the gums, this tissue works as a barrier against bacteria.  If the body lacks vitamin C, the gums tend to swell and bleed easily.

2. Your hair is dry

Vitamin C goes to important tissues and organs before it makes its way to the hair. If the vitamin C levels are low, your hair will suffer, becoming dry and with split ends. Also, vitamin C promotes faster hair growth and it helps the body absorb more iron.
