Jackie Appiah refurbishes Pediatric Ward for children suffering from Sickle Cell Anemia
It was always good to give back to society when you have much in your purse.
Stunning Ghanaian actress Jackie Appiah has done just that after funding the Korle-Bu pediatric ward’s refurbishing for children suffering from sickle cell anemia at the Korle-Bu teaching hospital.
The 37-year-old stunning actress took to her Instagram account to share a video from a well-decorated and furnished hospital ward on Thursday and said it touched her heart to embark on such a project after she lost a friend to sickle cell anemia some time ago.
The actress captioned:
“I am pleased to be here to hand over a new daycare center called “Jackie’s Corner” for children suffering from sickle cell disease. Sometime last year my friend Jo-Anne Badu lost her life to sickle cell anemia.
“I hope this new ward gives them hope to keep living and keep fighting. I am honored to be here. I am privileged that I can smile and make others smile too. It is my pleasure to hand over ‘Jackie’s corner’ to the management of the Korle Bu Teaching hospital.”
