MenZGold boss ‘NAM1’ charged with fraud over $23 Million

Latest information on the arrest of Nana Appiah Mensah indicates that the CEO of Menzgold Ghana limited has been charged with fraud over a business transaction worth $23million (GH¢114,587,150) with a Dubai company.

NAM1, according to the report, has been held at the Al Barsha police station since his arrest in December 2018.

Giving a detailed report on KofiTV, Kofi Adoma Nwanwani revealed that NAM1 was picked up by the police the very day he arrived in Dubai as the head of the company he was supposed to supply gold to, New Horizon Company had already lodged a complaint against him.

Kofi Adoma Nwanwani further stated that Ghanaian officials at the Ghana consulate in Dubai visited NAM1 at the Al Barsha police station Tuesday to confirm his arrest.

Other officials are expected to leave Ghana for Dubai Wednesday to negotiate Nana Appiah Mensah’s extradition to Ghana.

NAM1 is wanted in Ghana for defrauding by false pretence and allegations of money laundering for failing to pay clients’ investments.
