N’Golo Kante is being linked with a move to Atlético Madrid, report Mundo Deportivo.
The 31-year-old’s contract with Chelsea is set to expire in June and there appears to be no renewal talks taking place between the club and the player’s representatives.
As the current season is shaping up to become one of Atlético Madrid’s worst seasons over the last 10 years, the club’s board are planning to rebuild their squad for the autumn.
It is believed that Los Colchoneros are interested in the prospect of securing the services of Kanté on a free transfer. As of the past month, the Frenchman is free to sign pre-contractual agreements with other teams.
In December it was communicated that Barcelona would also be keen in signing the France international for free in the summer. It is yet to be seen whether the Blaugrana are interested in revisiting the idea of signing Kante.
