Here’s the reason Cardi B wants to divorce Offset

American Rapper Cardi B has filed for divorce from her husband Offset, whom she has been married to for the past three years.

Cardi B, real name Belcalis Marlenis Almanzar, married the Migos singer Offset, real name Kiari Cepheus, in a secret ceremony in September 2017.

The 27-year-old singer made the filing on Tuesday in Atlanta in Georgia near their marital home.

Cardi B is asking for primary physical custody of their daughter while asking that Offset contributes to her support and maintenance.

It adds that the couple are living in a bona fide state of separation and that their marriage is “irretrievably broken”. There are “no prospects for reconciliation”, according to the filing.

This is not the first time the pair have split up, with Cardi B posting on Instagram in 2018 that they were no longer together. However, they later made up.

The pair, who share 2-year-old daughter Kulture Kiari are to appear for divorce set for 4 November 2020.

The main reason behind Cardi B’s decision is rumoured to be due to infidelity on the part of Offset.
