CORONAVIRUS: 5,000 Boxes of Food Items to be delivered to Ghanaians .

About five thousand(5000) boxes of food items are being packaged to be delivered to Ghanaians in restricted areas in the comfort of their homes.

Earlier, the Minister of Gender, Children and Social Protection, Hon. Cynthia Morrison revealed the government’s intension to distribute food to Ghanaians in lockdown areas to cushion them for combat against the novel coronavirus.

The Inter Programming and Manufacturing Co(IPMC) established this initiative with the help of the government of Ghana and is expected to deliver them coming Monday, 20 April 2020.

The exercise which began on Sunday, 19 April 2020 at the Presbyterian Senior High School at Madina with over 200 workers, had volunteers drawn from the National Disaster Management Organisation(NADMO), various Municipal, Metropolitan, and District Assemblies(MMDA’s) and social workers.

The volunteers from the private sector were first of all made to go through Social distancing and personal hygiene protocols before packaging the food items and also trucks from private companies like Forwin, Ghandour, Azar Paint, Internet Solutions and Polygroup are made available for the conveying of the items.
