Shatta Wale accused of stealing a song – Upcoming artiste.
An upcoming artiste known as Yfee Sofa has accused Shatta Movement boss Shatta Wale for stealing his song “Back Case” which he released in September last year.
According to the Kumasi-based artiste, he recorded and shoot the video for his song which also has the same title in 2018 but heard of Shatta Wale’s version of the song only in 2019 was has the same lyrics as compared to his.
Explaining how everything happened, YFee Soja in an interview disclosed that the song has been played on radio and the video showed on television as well but decided to share it on Shatta Wale’s “Tuesday Market” and that was where some comment suggested that Shatta Wale has recorded a similar song.
He did a background check and got a confirmation that indeed Shatta has a song with his title and the lyrics.
Well, we are not drawing a conclusion in this matter, but Tema-based music group Ikonz released a song titled “Backcase” which became a nationwide hit.
Listening to YFee’s song, one can also say he also stole the concept from the Tema-music group.
