Two Policemen in Koforidua lands in trouble for assaulting a Suspect

Two Policemen stationed at Railway Police station in Koforidua in the New Juaben Municipality of the Eastern Region are allegedly reported to have assaulted a suspect for stealing GHS1,600.00.

Sources indicate that, the suspect, identified as Dodzi, admitted of taking GHS350.00 and not GHS1,600.00 as being accused of, from the private vehicle of his Boss.

Exclusive video sighted by Ghnewslab.com shows how the young man was physically assaulted by two police officers, one identified as Sergeant Amoako.

The two police officers were seen in the video inflicting wounds on the suspect, with bicycle tyres teared into pieces used to beat him mercilessly.

Meanwhile, the father of the suspect, Mr. Alegbe Daniel, speaking to Nyarko Abronoma on Bryt fm, accused the police of locking up his son from Friday to Tuesday until he was bailed, which exceeds the 48 hours ultimatum as enshrined in the laws of the land.

Reliable sources also revealed, the said police officers seem to be in trouble as the video has gotten to the brother of the suspect, who is said to be a military officer in Ho.

The accused officers, is said to be lobbying out a way to apologize for their unprofessional conduct to the suspect and his family after releasing the video out to the public.
