Chinese Company To Take Over A1 Bread For $5 Million

Information trickling down indicates that one of Ghana’s most established enterprises, A1 Bakery, producers of A1 bread, will soon be acquired by a Chinese company for an amount of five million dollars ($5m).

Reports suggest that management of the indigenous company will conclude negotiations with the Chinese firm in a little while.

Attempts to get Godfred Obeng Boateng, owner of A1 Bakery or his partner, Edward Nana Poku (Hammer) for confirmation proved futile.

Barely a year after commencing operation, A1 Bakeries has expanded curving a niche for itself as one of the fastest growing enterprises.

The organization has branches in Accra and Kumasi where it started operations. It employs about six hundred young people who work at its warehouses and factories.
